2. Close TBSRecorder

3. Open DVB Dream and scan that transponder!

Free Easy BlindScan was good while it lasted, thanks to Cjcr, I'll keep using CrazyScan and old Easy Blindscan.

Edited tried the beta release of Pro version, personally I like the idea of combining CrazyScan and Easy Blindscan into one type of application but the spectrum analyser is not as easy to read and its slow responding to me clicking on peaks.

Yes, good to have an analyser available too, but would like to be able to apply frequency markers as with Crazyscan - I would think it's still a case of work in progress with that one. Great work Cjcr.

I gave the beta a try again tonight, I have noticed one difference it allows me to put in 200 as an SR low which is great, it had no trouble finding CFN on 16e but it failed on all the rest.

Just wondering now where I should put my dish at to find the undiscovered low SR broadcasts than may lurk up there.

New EBS Pro no longer will do multi-satellite scanning. I used that feature every day to scan my busiest feeds satellites

Ok ..I now own a lifetime copy of Christians EBSpro ..
Feeling my way around this software ..and have successfully scanned a ku sat as my Cband is currently out of commission for mods ..
Performed a scan of 66 East ok ..and have located Aktau ...
Now to set up to auto play with the primary and secondary player options ..
I choose vlc for primary and possibly dvbviewer as secondary ..
Any experts out there on what needs setting up for when the 'play with' button is pushed ?
There are a few options ..and an auto config ..
I expect parameters have to be set and passed ...but just what ...and how ?

I confess to being a bit of a numpty in this area ..
..so any help is welcome..

To use VLC as your main player I would advise first to get version 1.1.11 here _http://www.videolan.org/vlc/download-windows.html I've had luck with some of the vlc nightly builds but not recently and I can't remember which of the older builds worked for me, but 1.1.11 always seems to work fine.
In EBSPro options/options/main player point the player path to the 1.1.11 version, click auto config and choose VLC (stream from EBSPro). The command line box should fill with parameters. Give it a try and see if that will work for you.

Ok ...no problems if I choose TSreader as my secondary 'player' ...it autoconfigures ..and opens to analyse the stream from ebspro ..
..vlc can then be initialised from within TSreader ...
but can't seem to get vlc to run directly from ebspro ..
It has to be a 'correct syntax' thing ..and doesn't appear to autoconfigure..
still ..its a start ..but if anyone has this working ..
..pointers would be useful.

I'm already using 1.1.11 ...so I'll try again following your instructions ..
..its the autoconfig that didn't appear to setup parms correctly..
but I'll reboot and try again..

Should have rebooted after installing ebspro5

Picked up the parameters no prob on autoconfig this time ..

Looks good so far ..and Christian deserves to make a few bob for his efforts..

True indeed, CrazyCat also, EBS would not be possible without his excellent work with his streamreader.
Is EBSPro your first venture into ebs or did you try previous (no-pay) versions, just wondering if USALS worked for you before in the non pro versions?

Yes I've used the free versions in the past and found them very useful tools indeed ..
..and yes if I remember correctly ...usals control worked just fine ..(I'll have to run an old version up and check)
But in the pro version ..when I try and enable a usals function ..in the diseqc contol box ...a message box pops up to say 'usals is unavailable as yet'
So obviously we have to wait for that feature..but If Christian has had it working once ...then no reason it can't be enabled again.
