I think I was misunderstood when I talked about DM 500 HD.On your question whether this receiver can lock BBC freqc.signal,I said-Yes,it can!I also presented evidence in this regard.Only about it I talked and not about decoding.I did not said that the BBC package can be decode with this receiver.Perhaps you took my words from this topic #70 when I asked about dvBs2 card codecs, which is totally different than the receiver.
Perhaps Humaxboy1's answer about the dreambox to be valid. So far I have not managed to "enlighten" package with DM500HD!

Ok, we did clear some things :). One is receiving the channels, what is not a problem, other issue is the decoding. And nobody till now is capable of doing that with enigma2 that the fact. Only receiver F-16 is capable of doing that, but they are not using enigma2.

Hi djgeo_gr
I think you will need a 125 to 150cm dish to get this satellite in your location.

William-1 is right:depends on the reception area!In the eastern part of Europe, you must have at least 150 cm dish to get Intelsat 907.Of the many antennas I have, only with the last I get this satellite.
Here's my 1.5 m antenna:

Well I can't get this going on my E2 receiver. It locks the transponder fine (it was working the other day when the transponder was open) but now it just comes up with the "service not found in PAT" message. I tried parameters from Satesco's lamedb file but it still can't see the channels. Strange that he can see the channels on his E2 receiver and I can't on mine. Also tried the lamedb from the German site but that doesn't work either. Is anyone else using an E2 receiver and have the channels showing as available even if still encrypted?

BTW, William-1 how can you have been a member for 7 years and only have 70 posts?

CA_IDs can be in the CAT for the corresponding EMM_PIDs and in the PMT for the ECM_PIDs. There is no CAT (0x0001) in this multiplex. The PMTs are scrambled so we don't know whether they contain any CA_ID. At least there was no CA_ID when the transponder was open. Of course there are no ECM_PIDs either cos it's constant CW scrambling.

0x2600 is allocated to the European Broadcasting Union (->BISS). What I meant was that if no CA_ID can be found on the BBC Backup transponder, you can't call it BISS :)

Your argument is convincing, but we have the testimony of users who have decrypt the packet and found that the key, which is Biss. One of them used AZBOX HD receiver to see BBC HD.Their testimony must be true until proved otherwise. Also @Llew actually showed us-#38 on this thread-that the key is valid.I'm not sure it is valid now{?} that it was widespread in all niche forums.
Somewhere I found a list of the PMT and SID values from the package that are different that give dvbs2 player.I tried to introduce from the first list these values, but even then I did not succeed.I must say that I can not see the package neither with the DM500HD nor dvbs2 player card!
Allow me to show the two lists of SID and PMT, one taken from the net and one I completed it myself from the player:

S4C HD:SID:17792,VPID:0,PMT:6400
STV HD:SID:17856,VPID:O,PMT:6500

In the first list we have each parameter value, even Video-pid,instead my player does not offer anything!Maybe one of you can see more than me and says if the packet is encrypted in BISS or other system?
In this context it is best to specify all informations from the list of satellites{Lyngsat,KoS,FlySat,etc} are provided by users, especially feedhunters and not by TV producers. Therefore errors can occur in these lists, including the type of coding,as @BlindFaith say now.But whether he is right or not, yet I can not say, but I think @humaxboy1-at #77- is right regarding the Dreambox,or at least seems more convincing.Like @Huevos, I want someone to tell us if BBC pack is working on his STB.
At least we know now if the key is valid regardless of the coding systems of such package.

BISS is constant CW scrambling. CCW with ca_id 0x2600 is called BISS ;)

If your receiver doesn't support this proprietary method with scrambled PMTs, you can't do anything. It's not just a question of the firmware but the emu is equally important!

Yes, EMU is all. Obviously, if you don't have one (softcam in your receiver or plugin for your PC software), forget trying to decrypt.

We're going off at a tangent here. There are three stages.
  1. Can the receiver lock the transponder?
  2. Can the receiver read the channels from the transponder?
  3. Can the softcam decrypt the channels?

In my case I fail at step 2 (channel not found in PAT message), although I had no trouble when the channels were temporarily FTA. When I tried LAMEDB data from Satesco I failed at step 1. So in further posts everyone needs to say at what step they are failing so we can narrow down what is going wrong in each case.

You still miss the point. 1. is obvious and banal but 2. is stated wrongly.

There is no receiver that can read the channels. To read a channel the receiver has to read all necessary tables. But the most relevant table is scrambled! The receiver only knows the program numbers (SIT) from the PAT and the corresponding names from the SDT. Before starting thinking about descrambling you have to add and edit everything manually.

Most receivers will refuse to read anything because they fail to read the PMTs. If the channels appear they will be empty like this:

TSReader-type receivers: create new channels manually with the corresponding ES_PIDs

DVBViewer-type receivers: edit the channels (add PIDs) after performing a channel search

Ok, these settings worked when the channels were FTA so why don't they work now? The channels is already saved so I am not looking for a new channel, just trying to play one that was already there.
