Well we've had three days of light snow here at about 3 degress below freezing.
Not too bad winds, but nevertheless not something that inspires outside satellite dish work...





Actually, we've been employing a different kind of dishes the last few days:



Guess it's heading the UK way now; with the Siberian cold "reaching out" (albeit with slightly higher temps).

Been snowing all day here, too, but so lightly there's not enough to fill a thimble.

Bit of a dusting here, looks like a tesco cake that's been sat on the shelf too long, all the icing sugar's turned wet and horrible...

A very light dusting of snow drifted down on my way in to work this morning.

I had plenty of time to observe it as the roads were very congested due to the M53 being closed after a body was found on the central reservation last night. In work now and there doesn't seem to be any at the moment.

Storm Doris to batter Britain with 80mph winds and heavy rain

The highest winds predicted down here for Thursday is 54mph. Hope my 80cm can withhold it, only have the one centre bolt holding it up!

Very mild here the last couple of days - now we have heavy snow forecast for Thursday....

I've clamped down Carl ...but I suspect my other ..more exposed dishes will suffer again ..
I hate strong westerlies ...they usually result in extra work /repairs.
Someone told me Doris is 'Da Bomb' .....
pity she didn't explode over the Atlantic..
doh!

..just seen the weather on BBC news..
it dont look good ..
Doris is tracking just to the North of me ..Cumbria ...but the more ferocious winds are on the North and South flanks ..
..and those Westerlies on the South flank look fearsome.
How many more times I will be fit enough to play fixer upper in the aftermath is questionable.
Perhaps I should take up philately.
