it is the diseqc command that selects the sat you need, it will send a signal along the line of AA AB BA BB for four different sats

just to add something if you do use the k & t dont put the bolts in the morter as it would apper that the picture shows ( top 2 bolts on the K) :D

are you sure the 2 cables have there on run to the dish and are connected to the own socket on the lnb, i ask because the problem like this could happen when the cable has had a splitter put in it, also ive not heard of a sky dish with a twin output the are normal single or quads, can you confirm?

it would also not be reactiveated as the cards "still belong to sky" and are non transfurable so even if you try to get it switch back on it would still be in the orignal name. A cancelled card will only give about 3 extra channels and as it says above you can phone sky and ask for a FTV card...

can i ask for what reason do you want a non working card?

first of all i would phone up sky and compain about them not doing a propper job, but too the point, when you a new card it will replace the blue one you have now, you could use your old box to recive the free channels but you still only need the one dish as there are both looking the same way...

if the magnet is strong enough it should effect the whole tape, but ive not tried it to clear a tape i just know that it will effect the tape, but always worth trying if you have a magnet around
