Hmm, I think I'll get some more cable and make myself a patch direct to the lnb then, good suggestion. Also need to remember who I lent my signal tester to....
I have a SkyStar2 PCI card connected to a Moteck SG2100 and use ProgDVB to watch channels.
About 6 months ago, I upgraded the SS2 drivers to the BDA versions, and found my DiSEqC stopped working, or at least my usual method of using MiBi's plugin was no longer relevant. I kinda left it alone...
I guess I could paint the concrete in my back garden into a blue rectangle, and put some pavers around it and maybe a diving board. Yes, definately a diving board.
Some dry chlorine on the ground should make it smell authentic in the dark, as would a nearby water feature.
Then just make to...
You'd need to specify which specific channels to get a good answer on the CAM's.
You may be able to watch your channels using a CAM emulator (vplug etc) and decode the signal using software, not an actual card.
MS MCE can only deal with one DVB card type, so won't be able to run DVB-T and DVB-S...
You need a copy of s2-emu and/or vplug, both obtainable from many sites, but I use this one:

Put the files in the ProgDVB dir (or plugins sub-directory) and then you just need to keep your softcam.key file updated (available via the same link above).
You should be...
Just followed my own link above, and found it hard to locate the UDR patch amongst all the german language waffle.
Here is a more direct link:

I was using MCE2005 with Rollup 2.
No plugins I'm afraid, just FTA channels, so it wasn't worth it in the end.
It is interesting to see the Germans coming up with some nice SS2\MCE utils though, so they may yet enhance the UDR patch with plugin support.
You can get the UDR here:

It works really well, but you can't use it at the same time as your freeview card afaik. I think MCE can only use only tuner driver at a time.
Looking for someone with a similar setup to help troubleshoot this.
I HAD ProgDVB with SS2DiSEqC v1.9 working fine on XP SP2 with Technisat 4.3 drivers.
I upgraded to the new Technisat 4.4 drivers and added tried MiBi's new 4.4 test patch of Skynet.sys to be used with SS2DiSEqC v1.9 still.
It...
You can get almost all the premiership matches using SS2 with vplug or s2emu.
use goalzz or LJ's TV guides to see which channels carry which matches.
Most matches are shown on multiple channels, so although you can't view all encrypted channels, you can usually find one somewhere if you have a...
Managed to get my SS2 working within MCE using the German UDR patch for MCE and the new Technisat BDA drivers.
I can now watch hundreds of god awful channels from Hotbird within MCE, but what I want is Multivision and TPS.
I can't understand much of the german, even when pathetically translated...
I'm not sure what you want to watch, but a good place to start is Hotbird 13E.
As above, use the latest ProgDVB and put the latest vplug from _ww.dvbskystar.com into the root ProgDVB directory. That site also may have a link to the latest softcam.key file You could also use the s2emu plugin as...
