Yes I agree this is most likely cause, - -cos tho I think the 5620 is a great box in some ways (doesn't overheat, easy to work on etc) it is an old design with limited memory, glitchy, has problems networking sometimes and the image def degrades in strange ways, a box with character and attitude!

Hi Joseph, Dreamup can be glitchy unfortunatly sometimes its the only option , but the most common problem is; 1 Turn off and Unplug dreambox 2 Start dreamup, make sure to enter port use serial connection. 3 Then plugin and turn on box. Seem that just being plugged in prevents dreamup from...

Hi PCD, great work & I look forward to trying it as soon as I get the time. However as someone of a crusty disposition and thereby cautious; could you clearly spell out the pros and cons of shoving E2 on this box? Perhaps this would help those new to the dreambox make an informed choice of image?

Hi Joe-Bloggs, At a quick glance i think Sky sport 1 3 & 4 are Horizontally polarised only sport 2 has a V? Perhaps check that you are receiving both V & H. (I know this dosent fit sky 1 but---) Regards

Hang on here, if it boots occasionaly isnt a dry joint/broken or loose connector more likely? Check all the connectors(wiggle them), then the wires, then poke each component with an insulated screwdriver,However clearly use extreeeeme caution as youd have to do this with power on.

OK so it has to be Cccam's card-reading ability- thats the problem. Could Cccam.config help? Otherwise I assume card will update via Cccam 2.1.4 via Newcs, and then connect the other receivers direct to newcs (altho a bit messy) cos I seem to remember an occasional lag connecting via Cccam/Newcs.

At last got round to changing to Newcs & Mgcamd, and yes it opens Sky3. So must be Cccam! I assume Sky3 opens with Cccam with standard UK package? To sum Cccam cannot open Sky3 in the Irish package! Can Anyone out there clear SKy3 on Cccam with Irish pack? Thanks everyone for help
