its 60cm and 100cm up here but you can get away with say an 80cm and 1.2m.. 99% of the time nobody cares its if you get a grumpy neighbour. best bet is to try and hide the larger dish from view as much as possible

fixed a similar issue yesterday on a slybox f3s and zone1 were water had gotten into the cable... even though the join at the lnb was sealed with amalgamating tape. no/intermittent signal at the stb but fine at the dish with meter, removed the cable with a fresh run and it is all good again

thanks for the heads up on the 36v motor and adapter plate @CJ... i was considering making an offer on 2 of those motors, 1 for a 1m C.M. and 1 as a spare but now it looks like ill leave it. as regards the adapter plate.. do you think it would be ok with a stronger/well made plate on the motor...
