You need a VPN Router. You wouldthen put a UK VPN Service DNS in the router and anything connected to it (including the Humax) would think its in the UK.
My HD box keeps loosing some of its listings. I can get them back by switching the power off at the wall but it takes about 5 minutes before the thing boots up again.

Me neither. I just bought a FTV card and rang to activate (while in my UK house) the asked for the sky box serial number. I gave them one from an old Plus Receiver. I then took the card and tried it in my current sky plus box (different one) and all the FTV instantly worked.
