Good combination for searching feeds

Hi,

I would like to buy a dish, motor, lnb and a receiver for searching for feeds, but I'm in doubt about the best equipment combination for searching feeds.

For the dish I'm considering 1m dish in aluminum I was checking the gibertini Serie LN but don't know if its appropriate and good for feeds. About the motor and lnb I really don´t know what is necessary to have in consideration.

Regarding the receiver I'm in doubt about which one its more appropriate. I checked some receivers that support 4k and so on but that probably adds some latency or overheads, so I was looking for a receiver that does the job right but without adding too much unnecessary overhead.

I checked some receivers like amiko and e2 because it seems that there are a lot of good reviews but I don´t know if those reviews are from people that use the receivers for feeds. And also there many models and I'm in doubt about which model is most appropriate for feeds.

If someone can give a help about a good combination for this it would be nice!

What feeds are you looking for? We can't suggest a dish if we don't know what you want to receive. The feeds may not even exist on satellite.

I doubt you'll find much difference in latency between receivers. Any difference will be measured in milliseconds.
 
A 1m dish is a 1m dish, slightly better than a 90cm, slightly worse than a 1.2m

Its most for sports feeds, particular football. Sorry, I'm a beginner and I didn't know that the type of feeds have influence in the type of equipment. Can you explain why is important to know what type of feeds to know which is the appropriate equipment? Thank you!
 
Football from where? Most popular football feeds are sent by fibre to broadcasters, you won't find the feeds on satellite. If they do pop up from time to time, they will most likely be encrypted, or use a method of transmission that requires specialist equipment that isn't generally available.

If a feed is a available on satellite, the satellite it is transmitted from and your location will determine how big a dish you require, and what other equipment is required to receive it.

In Portugal your best option for football is probably a subscription to the beIN Sports package on the 25.5E MENA beam.
 
I like to watch UK, Germany, Spain and Portugal football. So for this case satellite is not an option, it's that it? Well popular league its not so popular so maybe there are feeds for it?

And can you explain better that part of the "beIN sports package on the 25.e Mena beam"? 25.5E MENA beam is the name of a satellite and beIN is a satellite subscription service that has popular football feeds?

Sorry if the questions are very beginner but this world of satellites it seems really funny but also new for me so I'm still trying to understand better how things fit together! Thank you!
 
Most big football grounds have dedicated fibre connections for transmitting the feeds to the host broadcaster. Or they use industrial transmission formats such as NS3 or NS4 that are not available on ANY hobby level receivers.

beIN Sports is a pay-TV broadcaster, they are not feeds but regular television broadcasts aimed at the Middle East North Africa region from the Es'hail 1 & 2 satellites at 25.5° East and 25.8° East. The official footprints of the satellites cover most of Portugal, if you can purchase the appropriate subscription and receiver it will be possible to view these channels.

There will also be an official Portuguese broadcaster for each of those football leagues you mentioned. Have you looked into them? They may be expensive but at least the commentary will be in Portuguese!

Now I got that you are after sport channels because feeds are something else
I think you assumed feeds are the regular channels broadcasting sports.
 
From your concerns about lag and latency it would appear that your interest in this is with "in match wagering".
Geeds are transmissions from a stadium back to a broadcaster who processes th signal (adding encryption commentary etc) and broadcasts to the public. This processing takes time and introduces delay to the content, this applies to all rebroadcast content.

Most genuine feeds will have very little "in match wagering" interest except to "locals" of the teams playing. Most of the betting will be on matches available only on subscription services where nearly everyone will be on a level playing field.

This is why we need to know what you are looking for and why?
