Thanks arma123, Looks like my receiver is knackered as far as Russian channels is concerned, luckily my mate lent me his TM1000D receiver and it confirmed your findings.
He said that if I can receive Russian channels on his receiver we can do a exchange, as my receiver picks up everything else. :D

TV Central International (TVCI) 12073H 27500 has stopped on Sirius2 (5E), not that long after Moscow Open World.
Hope it's not the start of a "Slimmed Down" Russian TV service. :(

Have just come across these two:- This one on Hotbird is K+ (might be Kolyma+) which I think might be a Baltic channel which is showing old Russian movies (well it is at the moment) at 11623V, 27500, FTA.

The other one is Ren-TV b on Sirius which was broadcasting in Russian, at 11836H, 27500.
Anyone know if there is a Ren-TV a,c,d, etc, etc. :)

Reference "Ren-TV b" , the b stands for Baltic. Take a look at their web site.

Me gone, being booted off of my nieces computer, back later in the week.

Had a look at their web-site and Ren-TV comes from Moscow, and they are broadcasting in Russian.

Seems Ren TV was the last TV company openly critical of Vladimir Putin. Was brought out last year by state company more friendly to the Kremlin.
All Russia's TV stations are either state owned or run by state run companies.
Their reporting is deferential to the Kremlin.
Blair can only dream of TV stations like this.

They are very old films, even the wife doesn't care too much for the content.

Regarding Russia Today (that appears to be running full time on Hotbird, after the glitches). There is a programme due to start (soon) which shows a Russian fencing master and his work in the sport and in training actors for fight scenes.

If anyone can let me know when they know its on, either on here or by PM

Thanks

They are certainly on the old side that's for sure, but my wife loves them and nothing about that's why she loves me. :-rofl2

As for sound loss on ORT think I will put that down to the patch, as it's alright on Hotbird and 8 west.

Is anyone still getting ORT on 5E with something other than an official card.

Have they gone secure in the past 24 hours ?

I think this may be the problem...

Sirius 2 - 4.8E

Perviy kanal Vsemirnaya set Europa has ceased using Viacc*ss 2.4 now using only Viacc*ss 2.6 / Videogu*rd on 12380H SYM:27500 FEC 3/4 SID225 VPID170 APID171 Rus (SES Sirius)

Glad I didn't invest in a patched Technomate this Xmass ;-)

There are about 12 Russian channels in C-Band on Express AM1 at 40 east, all FTA.

My question is how can I (or is it possible to) get these channels ?
