At thursday i can go on with it , first have to design and make the lnb adapter plate with a lot of holes so there can be attach several kinds of lnb's .
I think i should deliver the changer with only one or two 40 mm lnb clamps and you guys make the special ones (C / SL3K ) yourself , or ?
Untill now i always used second hand diseqc rotors but i run out of my stock , so when we come to business , i have to use new ones .

... Guys, if Trust1 is offering to provide this construction for you then grab the opportunity because he will be doing you a massive service. Unless you have good D.I.Y. skills and a decent well equipped workshop with good tools then this lnb changer project can be a very very time consuming job. My trade is electrical contracting which does involve & require good construction skills and my small workshop is not geared up for engineering work and i find it tough going to get that professional finish on my lnb changer project like Trust1 achieves on his work.
Iv'e decided to to let it all hang out (lnb farm) on the end of the boom because that's the easiest engineering option for me. Combined with my extra rear of dish support arm bracing mod i'm very happy that the finished structure will be strong and have no unwanted dish edge warp problems. Inspired by Trust1 & Rimants work, here is where i'm at now, still lots to do to get rid of some rough edges, priming and painting etc...

A fair bit Chris, it's like a big jig saw puzzle at the moment that needs putting together for a possible lnb cluster of five different units consisting of all different things like lnb's , extra cable runs, lnb brackets, diseqc control cables, etc etc. A heck of a lot of work but, stating the obvious here, the end result will be that what particular band lnb choosen to view signals will be at true focus and operating at it's optimum with whatever dish size you might have.
Something like this would be an awesome set-up on Martins 2.4 offset :D:D

I am definitely interested!
Than lets tolk about money .
We talk about a lnb changer for a 1.8 CM since I can test it on my own dish with the changer motor under the dish or at the lnb end of the feedarm .
I can also made and test it for an 1.2 CM , make your choise .
I have to buy new motors , found a shop that sell SG2100A for 50 euro free delivery
It take me 2 hours to drive v.v. to the company that sells the Inox pipe and stripe and Alu profile and pipe and cut myself those parts , approx 25 euro for that parts .
Cutting and drilling that inox stripe for attaching side arms to the dish , at the lathe make the adjustable ends of those arms .
I bought for myself 3 alu 40 mm lnb clamps for 18 euro . pipe clamp for C lnb 4 euro
Inox screws i use from my own stock and making the lnb adapter plate takes serious time .

So what do you guys think would be a reasonable price ?

Parts, petrol, your time, postage etc, I would be prepared to pay up to 250 euro for the CM 1.8 version

Thanks for starting the ball rolling Chris ....

.... Just for info only, my parts only for a CM 1.8 build came to £97 / 136 euro. This was for: 1mtr length 100 x 25mm box section ali, Dark Motor, ali plate, Inox nuts and bolts. This does not include the rear of dish bracing that i have also done. Once the difficult part of constructing the lnb changer adapter plate & motor mod to accept the changer plate, converting a CM 1.8 is fairly straight forward due to it's already robust dish edge construction.
For you Chris, re: the 1.5 Gib , for people who don't know the construction details exactly, me for instance, some close up good resolution pics showing your bottom boom arm fixing arrangement front and back would be good. Depending what you intend to hang up front, i would be very cautious of the pull on the side support arms. Just my thoughts mate, tell me to shut up if you want. :)

I think 250 Euros is reasonable as suggested by scopus. How does this sound to you, @Trust1?

On the rotater plate, I would like 2x C-band brackets (61-63mm?), 2x Ku-band brackets (40mm) and perhaps squeeze some others in for future expansion (Ka-band etc.)?

That would bring more weight at the end of the feedarm , things we tried to avoid .

On a Fibo (or any other Gregorian dish), it would be more or less at the centre of the feed arm.

Most professional dishes have the feed attached directly to the backplate, not bolted to the reflector, and from memory the Fibo has a casting backplate which extrudes to the base of the reflector with the boom held by an allen bolt, unless my memory is failing.
