well the problem ( i think), is that I have put the bracket on the bottom of the dish the wrong way.I have the bolt at the back, should be at front from your picture.
As soon as rain stops and sun shines i will change it round.
Then hopefully all i will need is the distance from dish sidearm edge to your fixing on plate holding the moter

anyone have one or two cband lnb(not titanium) to sell or swap for a azbox?, seems the only ones can buy without 4 week delay are the titanium, and i have no patience for waiting.

Better in English for this board...

"a quick test this weekend, no time for a complete test, but time enough to set the LNBs positions."

I understood what you meant. I actually had to read it twice to realise that I had taken the French in without problem.

Figure you may get 10, possibly 11 knb´s at a push, looking at the photo?
Agree with thanks to Trust1, ( and any others who help with the concept ) brilliant idea to come up with.

Hi @Trust1 I received the changer today, thank you! I can't quite work out how to use the the rods. Am I right in thinking that I should use the existing Laminas side arms? What is the tube for - where does it fit? Also, how would the reinforcing rods fit at the back?

@Feedsat_DXer if you have more pictures of your changer, that would be great.

I have few, you need to use the existing laminas side arms:
lamarms.JPG

The motor is attached like this:

Reinforced items:

reinf1.JPG

The opposite side is like this:

reinf4.JPG

On the SMR 1224, it will be like this (not done yet, just to explain)

reinf2.JPG

the opposite side has to be attached like this:

reinf3.JPG

But Trust will give your precise details.

I hope these little pictures can help you.

Thank you Feedsat, this helps. I will be using it on a polar mount (for now), so I am guessing I don't need the third tube?

Just comming home .
Those reinforcement rods and tube are to avoid bending the dish by the extra load of the changer with several lnb's .
Theoretical , that load is pulling at the side arms and pushing the lower beam backwarts .
I advice to make a string test with the crosswires to see whats happening with the dish without that reinforcement .
I beleive you (CJ) use declination control , so you have to look carefully where to attach the upper end of that vertical rod .
It should be connected to that part of the polarmount that is fixed attached to the dish .

BTW, @Feedsat_DXer, I think your rotator is slightly different to mine. Mine looks like the motor is hanging off the end of the arm, whereas yours is by the dish (is that right, @Trust1 ?)

Yes thats right , Feedsat has a modded SG2100 (350º arc) capable to attach 8 lnb's .
I think that motor is too heavy to put at the upper end of the feedarm .

Ah! So Trust1 is sending different designs to different people, just to confuse us all!
I'm sure it's an update version for better performance, in reality!

Sorry, what do you mean by X1 or X2 position ...
You might not have it. On mine I have two positions for the attachments, x1 and x2.

Did you test it out much? Are you finding it better than just side by side arrangements?

Slightly different question. Do those DiSEqC motors accept 1.0 commands? If I have 4 lnbs then it would be good to select it on the switch and have the correct lnb selected and the motor move to the correct position.

Yes, the 2 diseqc commands works well, diseqc 1.1 for Diseqc switch and then diseqc 1.2 for the motor.
settings in EBS for the laminas

lam.JPG

Also verified for the Channel Master LNB changer before I put it on standby
and no problem, it works well for both diesqc commands: Diseqc 1.0 and diseqc 1.2
I hope it was your question...
