1.2m CM dish with elevation jack, Supermount 1224 H-H rotator, Octagon SX88+, DR.HD D15, GT Media Combo, Ku PLL LNB, C Band: Titanium C1W-PLL, Ka Band: XMW R9216AF with FD9000 feedhorn, Inverto Saorsat LNB and Inverto Ka/Ku LNB . Zone 2 dish pointing at 28E with Octagon SF8008.

When scanning a satellite, do you have to scan the lot or can you put in frequency limits? eg 10950-11200 and can you choose H&V/H /V?

The AV amplifier has to support Dolby Digital + (e-AC3) in order to decode the raw audio stream from the french channels others than France 3.
I assume that the audio DSP of the Octagon sx88 can support DD+ if it gets an appropriate SW update.

You have to scan the lot but it is quite fast 10700 to 12750 on 9 & 10 east took 7 minutes.

Good, thanks for that. I shall hold off purchase until it's sorted.

Even my ancient Humax Foxsat copes with D+, so it seems a bit regressive that some new boxes don't natively support it.

At last a Linux Satellite Receiver that I can use for Feed Hunting :)

The SX88 is very easy to navigate you do need to Blind Scan in the Multi-Streams,

Just goes to illustrate how over complicated some Linux receivers menu's are no other Linux I have tried is as easy to navigate as the Octagon SX88 :D

Well the Octagon knows it is a DD+ audio track, just no sound. I need to try the co-ax output at the back and connect it to my Yamaha AV amp which I know decodes DD+P1010065.JPG

Sad to say no sound through coax-1 for DD+ other sounds OK through coax-1 so I will explore this later.

Sure.
Octagon has to improve their test requirement. Coverage is not good enough for such a product sold in whole Europe.
