blademedia,

What were your impressions of the Evolution MAG drill that you bought before the Rotabroach? Was it simply not up to the job or not particularly well built? The Rotabroach seems to be making easy work of cutting the holes, especially with a good quality cutting bit.

Rgds

nothing wrong with the evolution nearly bought it good reviews but not multi speed very slow speed is needed for hard steel if your drilling mild steel as I will be after this job go for it

blademedia,

A UK imperial ton is 2240lb so there is a very small correction to your figures, 1250lb = 0.558 UK imperial ton, minus the weight of the hole plugs that you cut out. I hope you enjoyed the wine.

6.62 what? You state 2ft long, but 6.62 ft wide does not make any sense , neither does 6.62 meters, do you mean 2.6 inch pole?

thanks square would work ok used it before was trying to find used save money looks like moonbase found solution

Have you checked the diameter of a traffic control bollard, the short height ones? They come in various diameters and one of these might be a suitable diameter?

Value Mild Steel Bollards - 900mm Above Ground · Barriers Direct

The above web site do have 168mm diameter poles but it depends if they are within your budget?

Rgds

thanks that's will do it and cheap enough just measured inner diameter and ok 170mm 168mm will be fine not much room for levelling but doesn't matter I level at bottom of pole
