Be a little more considerate to fellow members, please, if you would be so kind, old chap!
Pardon, I don't understand your reply, I've been reading this thread for a long time and I got very excited with the brilliance, is that a bad thing? These modifications is not something you see every day and the outcome should be so interesting!

Sorry, I was being overly polite, just in case a member of the Laminas staff was already viewing.
Tell me to " Pi****f " and I´ll know what you mean!:D

There is drawing of AS-1800 (made by me, so might be not perfect). @Trust1 you have asked for some specific measurements to artificial point X.... you can find them there as well. Distance to point G is marked from the top of the antenna (as lower point of the WOD is covered by the feedarm).

@cardiff has already asked for info from Laminas, and has received a reply from them, hopefully giving an answer on Monday. ( At least Chris has advised that is when the technical department will look at the diagram he sent, taken from this thread ) I will not steal his thunder, and he has advised he will post the reply when he receives it.
I have also sent Chris at Laminas a message, with a link to this thread, so they can see why we want the information, in the hope they will be more helpful in their response.

We wait to see what info Cardiff gets back!

@Trust1 - any progress?
All the main parts are ready , waiting for the response from the Laminas employe to stick them together in the proper way .
The CM changer for @WHATAGOAL1 1 is on his way by Post.nl
Keeping the package size under 1 mtr (no sidearms) and under 5 kg , they charge € 19.50 Tracktrace

I went to the same school as Isaac Newton.

We weren't in the same year, though.

He'd have loved all this.

Just arrived home , was all day at/on the river

Did'nt expect you started right now .
In this post you could see your changer @WHATAGOAL1
The only difference is that in your package the M6 threaded rods to make the side arms longer , are covered with tubes , allready stick together with the bended angled INOX parts .

Siderod extension.JPG

Dont be angry , but today by the lack of more data for the Lami , I made a CM changer with the Parabola calculations maybe @WHATAGOAL1 wants it .

As you can see , the sidearms must be extended with 200 mm long M6 inox rod .
I decided to use the TechniRotor pole clamp to attach the mainbeam onder the dish .
Its very stable and at that way more easy to lift or lower the beam wenn neccecary .
